Brody Hopkins Added to Tampa Bay Rays ALCS Roster for Series Opener

The Tampa Bay Rays added rookie right-hander Brody Hopkins to their ALCS roster ahead of Game 1 against the Cleveland Guardians, replacing left-hander Garrett Cleavinger. Hopkins made his major league debut on September 13 and posted a 5.06 ERA with seven strikeouts and six walks in 5 1/3 innings across six appearances. Despite elite stuff praised by FanGraphs, his late-season call-up featured command struggles, including six walks and three wild pitches over 5.1 innings.
