Alex Ovechkin sniped his first goal of the season and the 930th NHL goal of his career during the Washington Capitals' 5-3 loss to the Seattle Kraken on Sunday. Ovechkin capitalized on a strong forecheck and forced turnover from brothers Aliaksei and Ilya Protas, collecting the puck in front to beat Joey Daccord. Despite the milestone tally briefly giving Washington momentum, the Capitals dropped to 3-2-0 on the season.
