Spencer Schwellenbach Facing Full-Season Limitations

Atlanta Braves GM Alex Anthopoulos stated that Spencer Schwellenbach should return to the rotation next year, though the team will not rely on him for a full season. Schwellenbach missed the entire 2026 campaign after undergoing right elbow surgery in February to remove bone spurs and a subsequent August procedure to repair a previous fracture. His availability for the start of 2027 remains in question as he rehabilitates from the latter surgery and works through workload limits.
