Caleb Durbin Undergoes Reconstructive Finger Surgery
Boston Red Sox infielder Caleb Durbin underwent successful reconstructive surgery on the PIP joint in his left pinkie finger. Durbin dealt with a dislocated pinkie over the summer but played through the injury without an IL stint, finishing with a .248/.332/.378 slash line, 13 home runs, and 20 stolen bases across 153 games. After a strong second half (.738 OPS), he is expected to be fully healthy for the start of spring training.
