Dameon Pierce Handles Bulk of Carries After Injuries to Backfield

Philadelphia Eagles running back Dameon Pierce recorded 11 carries for 14 yards and caught two of five targets for minus-2 yards in Sunday's 19-17 loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars. Pierce began the game as the backup behind Will Shipley with Saquon Barkley inactive, but stepped into the lead role after Shipley exited with a foot injury. The outing marked Pierce's highest touch volume since Week 18 of the 2024 season with the Houston Texans.
