Tyrese Maxey struggled offensively in Saturday's 144-106 preseason loss to the Boston Celtics, recording eight points (2-10 FG, 1-6 3Pt, 3-3 FT), four assists, three rebounds, one steal, and one block across 18 minutes. Maxey and rookie VJ Edgecombe were the lone regular starters active for Philadelphia, as star teammates Jaylen Brown, LeBron James, and Joel Embiid were all held out for rest.
