William Eklund Placed on LTIR With Serious Ankle Injury

Ottawa Senators forward William Eklund was placed on long-term injured reserve due to an ankle injury sustained from a hit by Simon Benoit during a 2-1 win over Philadelphia. He is out indefinitely and must miss at least 10 games and 24 calendar days. Eklund recorded one goal, two points, and nine shots across four games this season. Andre Burakovsky is expected to replace him in the lineup.
