J.J. McCarthy Earns 'A-Plus' Grade Learning Giants Playbook

Giants offensive coordinator Matt Nagy gave backup quarterback J.J. McCarthy an "A-plus" grade for his progress learning the playbook during his second week since being acquired from Minnesota. McCarthy had a specialized package available last week but did not play. He continues working alongside Jake Haener to master the full playbook behind starter Jameis Winston, as he aims to secure the No. 2 quarterback role ahead of Sunday's matchup with the Commanders.
