William Eklund Exits Game With Lower-Body Injury in Senators' Victory

William Eklund suffered a lower-body injury during Thursday's 2-1 win over the Philadelphia Flyers and could not return. Eklund took a clean hit from Simon Benoit in the first period, awkwardly jamming his skate into the boards, and was unable to put weight on his left leg as he was helped off the ice. Coach Travis Green offered no postgame update, though an ankle or Achilles injury is feared. Eklund has two points in four games.
