David Spacek Makes Season Debut For Minnesota Wild

Twenty-three-year-old defenseman David Spacek is entering the lineup for the Minnesota Wild in place of the injured Olli Maatta, making his season debut and just his third career NHL game. Spacek played two NHL games in January 2026, averaging 10:45 of ice time. He spent the last three seasons with the AHL's Iowa Wild, recording seven goals and 36 points in 59 games last season, and earned his roster spot in the pre-season by beating out Carson Lambos.
