Ryan Helsley Shut Down for Season Following Elbow Inflammation
Ryan Helsley's debut season with the Baltimore Orioles was derailed by recurring right elbow inflammation. After returning from a lengthy IL stint, he experienced further discomfort while warming up in July, leading to a 60-day IL move. He made a scoreless rehab appearance in September, but the Orioles decided to shut him down to gear him toward 2027. He finished the year with a 4.11 ERA over 15.1 innings and went 8-for-9 in save opportunities.
