Trent Grisham Struggles at Leadoff in Season-Ending ALDS Defeat

New York Yankees outfielder Trent Grisham went 0-for-5 with three strikeouts while batting leadoff in a season-ending 4-3 ALDS Game 3 loss to Tampa Bay, including striking out swinging to end the game with the tying run on second. Manager Aaron Boone inserted Grisham at the top of the lineup to create base-runner opportunities, despite Grisham posting a major-league low .199 batting average in the leadoff spot this season. Grisham faces an uncertain future entering free agency.
