Cole Perfetti Nets Late-Period Goal To Give Jets Lead

Cole Perfetti scored with 1:44 remaining in the second period, deflecting a shot with his left skate past the goaltender's five-hole to put Winnipeg ahead 2-1. The goal marked his third of the season and the fourth of his career against the Avalanche. Perfetti also earlier factored into the physical play, being stripped by an opposing defender in the opening frame.
