Dante Pettis Placed on Practice Squad Injured Reserve

The San Francisco 49ers placed wide receiver Dante Pettis on the practice squad injured reserve due to an ongoing calf injury. The roster move coincided with the team signing former Rams returner Xavier Smith to the practice squad as the 49ers continuously shuffle their depth and add speed around core offensive targets like Mike Evans and George Kittle ahead of their upcoming Week 5 matchup.
