Kristian Welch Promoted To Green Bay Active Roster From Practice Squad

The Green Bay Packers promoted veteran linebacker and special teams ace Kristian Welch from the practice squad to the 53-man roster. Welch takes the roster spot of linebacker Edgerrin Cooper, who was placed on injured reserve after tearing his Achilles tendon against Tampa Bay. Welch is expected to contribute immediately on special teams and provide crucial depth in the linebacker room as the Packers navigate a significant defensive injury.
