Baltimore Ravens TE Durham Smythe Out For Season With Torn Achilles

Baltimore Ravens tight end Durham Smythe suffered a torn Achilles during Sunday's win over the Tennessee Titans, confirmed via an MRI. The veteran started all four games this season, playing 50 percent of offensive snaps primarily as a blocking tight end and catching one pass for 4 yards. Having appeared in 133 career games, Smythe's season-ending injury leaves the Ravens relying on rookie tight ends Matthew Hibner and Josh Cuevas behind Mark Andrews for blocking and receiving depth.
