Dylan Larkin Scores in Season Debut Amid Trade Demands and Boos

Detroit Red Wings center Dylan Larkin was activated off injured reserve and scored in his season debut, helping Detroit to a 5-3 win over Ottawa. Initially greeted with boos following a public trade request and the loss of his captaincy, Larkin turned jeers to cheers with a 13th-minute goal and added an assist. Named the game's first star, he centers a line with Lucas Raymond and Viktor Arvidsson as Detroit navigates ongoing offensive struggles early in the campaign.
