Reed Sheppard Enters 2026-2027 Looking For A Major Breakout

Houston Rockets guard Reed Sheppard enters his second year after finishing sixth in Sixth Man voting, averaging 13.5 points, 3.4 assists, and shooting 39.4% on triples. The Rockets went 17-4 when he started. Despite defensive limitations, he posted a +1.5 defensive box plus-minus and 3.1 defensive win shares. Facing backcourt competition from Marcus Smart and Bogdan Bogdanovich, a bigger and stronger Sheppard looks to force Ime Udoka's hand in 2026-2027.
