Asa Newell Shines Off Bench With Impressive Double-Double

Atlanta Hawks forward Asa Newell delivered an impressive performance off the bench, recording 12 points and a team-high 12 rebounds in 22 minutes during Monday's 132-123 preseason loss to Memphis. The Georgia product shot efficiently from the field, connecting on 5-of-9 shots, while adding two assists and two steals. Newell is currently competing for an expanded rotational role ahead of the 2026-27 campaign, and this standout outing strengthens his case for playing time.
