Malik Monk Sits Out Preseason Opener Against Lakers

Sacramento Kings guard Malik Monk did not suit up for Monday's preseason exhibition game against the Los Angeles Lakers due to rest. The Kings did not list any injury for the 28-year-old veteran, indicating it was merely a planned maintenance day. His next opportunity to return to the floor will come when the Kings face the Lakers again in a rematch scheduled for Thursday.
