Tyquan Thornton Facing 12-16 Week Recovery Following Ankle Surgery
Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Tyquan Thornton faces a 12-to-16-week absence after undergoing surgery for a dislocated left ankle suffered in a 30-27 win over the Raiders. Thornton caught five passes for 111 yards and two touchdowns, including a 55-yard reception, before getting hurt celebrating in the fourth quarter. Specialist Dr. Norman Waldrop will perform the surgery, giving Thornton a realistic chance at returning for a late-season or playoff run.
