LeBron James Ruled Out For Preseason Debut Due To Rest And Foot Arthritis

Entering his 24th NBA season, 41-year-old LeBron James was ruled out for Monday's preseason opener against the Knicks for rest, alongside teammates Joel Embiid and Tyrese Maxey. James is managing chronic arthritis in his left foot and lower-back issues from previous sciatica, receiving daily special attention from trainer Mike Mancias. Philadelphia plans to manage his workload and back-to-backs after he signed this summer to help Joel Embiid win a title.
