Victor Eklund In Line for Roster Opportunity With Islanders

Young forward Victor Eklund stands to benefit from the New York Islanders' roster strategy following minor offseason changes in 2026. The organization deliberately focused on leaving maximum roster flexibility for youth prospects like Eklund, choosing to part ways with established depth veterans. This structural shift opens clear opportunities for Eklund to compete for consistent ice time with the big club.
