Elias Pettersson Nets Game-Winning Goal in Victory Over Flames

Vancouver Canucks defenseman Elias Pettersson scored the game-winning goal in Saturday's 4-1 victory over the Calgary Flames. At 9:04 of the third period, Pettersson accepted a pass from Liam Ohgren and lifted a backhander past Calgary goaltender Devin Cooley to break a 1-1 tie. The blue-liner's decisive tally ignited a four-goal third-period surge for Vancouver, helping the team secure its first win of the season in their home opener.
