Emmet Sheehan Stretching Out in Sim Game for Potential Return

Emmet Sheehan continued to stretch out while pitching a simulated game during Friday's workout at Dodger Stadium. Optioned to the minors on September 21, Sheehan is not eligible to join the Dodgers' active roster until October 6 once his 15 days on optional assignment expire, making him a potential addition for the NLCS. Since August 12 across Triple-A and MLB, Sheehan has posted a stellar 0.91 ERA and 36.7-percent strikeout rate over 39 2/3 innings.
