Nico Hoerner Highlights Sole Cubs Offense in Wild Card Exit

Chicago Cubs second baseman Nico Hoerner was the lone offensive bright spot during the team's Wild Card Series sweep against the San Diego Padres. Hoerner logged multi-hit performances in both postseason games, going 2-for-4 in each contest with a double and an RBI in Game 2. Despite his steady production, the Cubs' bats sputtered overall, scoring just one run in the decisive 4-1 loss to end their 2026 season abruptly.
