Hao-Yu Lee Secures Detroit Tigers Opening Day Roster Spot for 2027

Hao-Yu Lee locked up a 2027 Opening Day roster spot with a stellar final two months, posting a 123 wRC+ and hitting .283 with 8 homers over 277 plate appearances after mid-June. Despite early struggles and below-average defense at second and third, the 23-year-old rookie's second-half surge, 91.1 mph average exit velocity, and gritty at-bats proved he is a sustainable above-average piece for the Detroit Tigers.
