Giancarlo Stanton Goes Unused in Yankees' AL Wild-Card Series Sweep

Giancarlo Stanton went unused during the New York Yankees' two-game AL Wild-Card Series sweep of the Boston Red Sox. Despite being included on the roster as a potential pinch hitter after missing over five months with three separate calf strains, manager Aaron Boone opted not to insert him into action. Stanton's status for the upcoming ALDS against Tampa Bay remains in doubt as the team evaluates rebalancing its roster composition.
