Willson Contreras Critiques Red Sox Data-Driven Strategy After Sweep

Boston Red Sox first baseman Willson Contreras criticized the front office's data-driven approach following a postseason sweep by the Yankees. Contreras, who previously homered in Game 2 to snap a 26 2.3-inning playoff scoreless drought, refused to answer questions about the late-season lineup struggles. Expressing clear discontent with chief baseball officer Craig Breslow, Contreras emphasized that computers and data are not enough without relying on veteran experience.
