Mario Edwards Placed on Injured Reserve With Torn ACL

The Houston Texans placed defensive lineman Mario Edwards on injured reserve after he tore his ACL last Sunday, ending his 2026 season. Edwards recorded six tackles and a sack over the first three games and totaled 44 tackles and 4.5 sacks in 27 games for Houston over the last two seasons. In a corresponding roster move, the Texans signed defensive end Chris Braswell off their practice squad to bolster the defensive line group.
