Alex Ovechkin Confirmed Ready for Washington Season Opener

Alex Ovechkin (lower body) will be in action against the Hurricanes on Friday. The 41-year-old winger appeared in all 82 regular-season games last year, notched 32 goals and 32 assists, including 19 power-play assists. While unlikely to challenge for the Rocket Trophy, he remains a potent goal-scoring threat for the Washington Capitals.
