Jack Campbell Battles Rough Start Amid Role and Scheme Shifts

Detroit Lions linebacker Jack Campbell is navigating a surprisingly slow start after PFF credited him with a 44.2 overall grade through three weeks, allowing receptions on 12 of 14 targets for 145 yards and two touchdowns. His struggles are partly explained by a significant role increase in coverage and a defensive scheme shift under Dan Campbell. Despite looking better against the Jets, trust issues and hesitation have temporarily hampered the All-Pro's production.
