Anthony Volpe Capitalizes on Game 1 Wild Card Start for Yankees

New York Yankees infielder Anthony Volpe made the most of his Game 1 AL Wild Card Series start at second base over Jazz Chisholm, going 1-for-3 with a sacrifice bunt in a 9-0 win over the Red Sox. Manager Aaron Boone started the righty-hitting Volpe against rookie lefty Payton Tolle. Volpe, who had only 11 major league starts at second base this regular season after recovering from offseason shoulder surgery, carries a .252 career postseason batting average.
