Ilya Sorokin Expected to Start Season Opener Against Maple Leafs

Ilya Sorokin is set to patrol the road crease in Wednesday's opening night matchup against the Toronto Maple Leafs after being the first goalie off the ice during Tuesday's morning skate. The 31-year-old backstop enters the new campaign following a strong 2025-26 season where he posted a 29-24-2 record, a 2.68 GAA, a .906 save percentage, and a league-leading seven shutouts across 55 regular-season outings, making him an elite fantasy option.
