Deebo Samuel Sr. Makes History Without Catch in 49ers Win

Deebo Samuel Sr. set a bizarre NFL record during the San Francisco 49ers' hard-fought Week 3 victory over the Arizona Cardinals. Samuel recorded 80 receiving yards without registering a single official catch, breaking Timmy Brown's 1961 mark of 65 yards. The historic yardage came via a stunning trick play involving Mike Evans, who later exited with a rib injury. Samuel also contributed two rushes for 14 yards and returned four kicks in the win.
