Baker Mayfield Suffers Dislocated Throwing Thumb in Loss to Vikings
Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Baker Mayfield suffered a dislocated right thumb on his throwing hand late in Sunday's 23-16 loss to the Minnesota Vikings. Mayfield sustained the injury when his hand hit linebacker Blake Cashman on a fourth-quarter pass follow-through after completing 17 of 34 passes for 217 yards, one touchdown, and one interception. Head coach Todd Bowles stated Mayfield will undergo an MRI, with the veteran signal-caller expected to miss time and force Jalon Daniels into action.
