Mike Trout Sits Out Season Finale for Los Angeles Angels

Mike Trout is not in the starting lineup for Sunday's game against the Seattle Mariners as the Los Angeles Angels wrap up a season with nothing left to play for. Trout rests after logging 633 plate appearances in 2026, marking his highest total since 2016. Zach Neto serves as the designated hitter and Oswald Peraza mans shortstop against right-hander Logan Gilbert.
