Tanner Houck Activated from Injured List to Start Regular-Season Finale

The Boston Red Sox reinstated Tanner Houck from the 60-day injured list to make his lone big-league appearance of 2026 in Sunday's regular-season finale against the Cubs. Houck completed a lengthy recovery from hybrid UCL reconstruction surgery, which included four minor-league rehab outings in September. He is expected to operate on a tight workload and may not pitch deep enough to qualify for a win.
