Mickey Gasper Placed on IL with Strain, Ruled Out for Postseason

Mickey Gasper has been officially placed on the 10-day injured list retroactive to Sept. 26 due to a significant right biceps strain suffered on a swinging strikeout. He is ruled out for the postseason, creating major questions for the Boston Red Sox infield depth and opening a potential playoff roster spot for Connor Wong. Gasper finishes the regular season hitting 10 homers with an .823 OPS across 225 plate appearances.
