Rico Dowdle Ruled Out for Week 3 Matchup Against Bengals Due to Toe

Pittsburgh Steelers running back Rico Dowdle was ruled out for Sunday's Week 3 contest against the Cincinnati Bengals due to a toe injury. Dowdle's absence paved the way for backfield partner Jaylen Warren to handle a heavy bellcow workload and 90.6% of running back touches, while practice squad elevations Travis Homer and Lew Nichols served as depth during the 30-27 victory.
