Azeez Al-Shaair Faces Potential NFL Discipline Over Eye Black Messaging
The NFL threatened Houston Texans linebacker Azeez Al-Shaair with removal from last week's game against the Bengals over his use of pro-Palestinian eye black honoring 8-year-old Wafaa Akila. Al-Shaair wore the messaging before removing it mid-game. A week prior, he was fined $11,492 for a similar tribute. The league prohibits personal messaging on game days without approval. Al-Shaair previously faced an $11,593 fine for writing 'Stop the Genocide' on his eye black in January 2024.
