San Jose Sharks Place Forward Jimmy Huntington on Waivers

The San Jose Sharks have placed forward Jimmy Huntington on waivers with the purpose of reassignment to the AHL's San Jose Barracuda. Huntington, an alternate captain for the Barracuda last season, registered 48 points (15 goals, 33 assists) in 71 AHL games. During this preseason, he posted one goal and two assists across three games for the Sharks. With extensive minor-league experience, the move sends the veteran forward back to San Jose's farm club to begin the year.
