Kenley Jansen Secures 498th Career Win in Detroit Tigers Victory

Detroit Tigers veteran pitcher Kenley Jansen threw a scoreless ninth inning on Friday night to seal an 8-7 victory over the Pittsburgh Pirates. Jansen retired the side in order to lock down the win and collect the 498th victory of his long career. The clean final frame prevented extra innings in Detroit's final home weekend of the regular season, holding off a late five-run rally by Pittsburgh to secure the team's series-opening win.
