Eli Heidenreich Provides Backfield Depth With Dowdle Out, Warren Questionable

Pittsburgh Steelers rookie Eli Heidenreich stands as the only other running back on the active roster alongside Jaylen Warren as teammate Rico Dowdle has been ruled out with a toe injury and Warren is questionable with a shoulder issue. With Travis Homer and Lew Nichols on the practice squad, Heidenreich could see an elevated operational profile if backfield injuries further deplete the Steelers ahead of Sunday against the Bengals.
