Marcus Mariota Named Captain as He Steps In for Commanders

Marcus Mariota has been named a sixth season-long captain for the Washington Commanders. He is set to start at quarterback against the Seattle Seahawks with Jayden Daniels sidelined week-to-week due to a dislocated left elbow. Mariota takes over leadership duties for the 0-2 Commanders as they navigate the upcoming stretch without their young franchise quarterback.
