Lucas Spence Hits First Three Career Homers in Historic Astros Win

Astros rookie center fielder Lucas Spence made MLB history by hitting his first three career home runs in a single game, going 3-for-4 with five RBIs in a 7-5 win over the Athletics. Spence homered in the second, seventh, and ninth innings after being recalled from Triple-A. Poised for a platoon role with Daulton Varsho and Brice Matthews injured, Spence holds a .205 average and .718 OPS with eight RBIs over 49 big-league plate appearances.
