Camilo Doval Claimed Off Waivers by San Francisco Giants

The San Francisco Giants claimed relief pitcher Camilo Doval off waivers from the Pittsburgh Pirates, marking a nostalgic reunion for the franchise. Doval recorded 107 saves as a Giant before being traded to the Yankees at the 2025 deadline. Following difficult stints in New York and Pittsburgh, Doval returns to San Francisco where they hope his elite 98+ mph velocity and sharp slider will provide cost-effective ninth-inning experience under team control for the 2027 season.
