Willson Contreras Casts Doubt on Wild Card Availability With Hand Injury

Boston Red Sox slugger Willson Contreras missed his sixth straight game due to a bruised right hand and doubts his availability for the AL Wild Card Series against the Yankees. Unable to swing a bat Wednesday or Thursday due to top-hand pain, additional imaging confirmed no fracture. Contreras, who leads the team with 27 homers and 81 RBIs, stated he will be completely honest if he lacks the strength to play.
