Cam Schlittler Faces Uncertainty for Yankees Wild-Card Game 1 Start

New York Yankees Cy Young award favorite Cam Schlittler is not yet guaranteed to start Game 1 of the AL wild-card series, according to manager Aaron Boone. As the team weighs multiple rotation iterations involving Max Fried, Carlos Rodón, and Gerrit Cole, pitching coach Matt Blake noted that while Schlittler would be pitching on short rest for Game 1, the Yankees will prioritize strategic alignment and adequate rest over a fixed hierarchy for the opening round.
