Jericho Sims Faces Reduced Role, Trade Block After Career-Best Season

Jericho Sims, the Milwaukee Bucks' backup center, had a career-best 2025-26 season, averaging 5.0 PPG, 5.5 RPG, and 1.6 APG, excelling as a rim-finisher (83.4%) and offensive rebounder (2.2 ORPG). Despite his athleticism and hustle, he struggles outside the paint, with free throws (62%), and foul trouble. His role is now threatened by the arrival of Kel’el Ware. Sims opted into his $2.8M player option but is reportedly a trade option for the Bucks, with the Lakers and Knicks showing interest.
